If nothing else, the pandemic really made a lot of us get used to cooking food at home for our meals. When I had to go back in to work, I realized I:
- Didn’t want to spend $10 on lunch every day.
- Sometimes don’t have time to leave the office to grab lunch every day.
- Am not the worst cook.
- Want to eat what I want to eat.
- Prefer fresh and hot food.
If you’ve felt anything of the above, and/or love jumping headfirst into a new gadget. I’m super excited to introduce you to the Itaki Pro electric lunch box. This little electric lunch box is the perfect way to have a freshly made, hot lunch that’s made to your specifications.

How Does the Itaki Pro Electric Lunch Box Work?
Steam.
Okay, I know it’s really basic, but I think that’s why it works. You simply put your food in your Itaki Pro, put water in the base and press the button.
Most of the meals I’ve made take a max of 30 minutes. Depending on when I want to eat lunch, I just put in how much water I need, press the button, and continue working while it cooks behind me.
It’s small and most of the pieces first inside normal lunch bags.
The Benefits of Using an Itaki Pro Electric Lunch Box
There are so many benefits to using this lunch box. If I have dinner leftovers from the day before, I can add them to a freshly cooked meal or side dish to create a different experience.
Is freshly cooked rice better than left over rice? YES!
Is freshly made pasta saucier than reheated pasta? YES!
Of course, you can also simply just reheat food if you want in it too. Steam reheat is better than nuking food sometimes too. There’s a steamer attachment for frozen buns and other frozen items too with the Magic Itaki Co – The Jumbo electric lunchbox.
Another benefit is that I can use more of the food I buy from the grocery store because I have more opportunities to cook. Plus, I know what’s in my food.
Switching gears: There’s a car adapter. WHAT? Yes, which means, if I was going on a road trip or if I was a mom running around with kids, I could make food while driving around!
Another pro is I prepare my Itaki Pro electric lunch box the night before and put in the fridge until I’m ready to head out the door in the morning.
Last, do you know what I could do with $50 a week?? That’s $200 a month! I want to keep as much of my money as I can.
Is Itaki Pro Lunch Box Easy to Clean?
Yes! Holy crap sticks, yes. It’s so easy to clean. No, like, seriously. You only need to wash two bowls and wipe water out of the base.
That’s it.
Pro tip: I ordered an extra set of bowls so when I’m feeling lazy, I have a clean set ready to go.
Helpful Tips
- The bowls are hot. Either let them cool down after opening or get an attachable handle.
- You don’t have to keep milk at your desk for recipes. Just get some powered milk or powdered milk alternative. (I use a powered coconut milk, and I just got a powdered almond milk.) I measure how much milk I need the night before, so at work I just have to add water.
- Two of the little cups that come with the Itaki electric lunchboxes equal 1/3 cup.
What Have I Made in my Itaki Electric Lunch Box?
- pasta (parmesan flavor and a one made with a dollop of pesto)
- rice
- curry chicken and rice
- medium and hard-boiled egg
- filling for seaweed snacks (rice, egg, jujubes, etc and scoop it on a seawood snack sheet. YUM!)
Itaki Pro Electric Lunch Box Review: Overall
I love this damn lunch box. In fact, I only signed up to promote Itaki BECAUSE I love the product so much! I get to eat what I want, when I want, and it’s easy to clean.
Don’t worry about it not being able to provide enough food. There is definitely enough room to make enough food for two people.
I HATE when gadgets have hard to clean areas, and this electric lunch box definitely doesn’t have any.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that we can set up my food the night before and just grab and go in the morning? -silence- Thank you.
It can be a little odd at first to use because it’s a newer concept, but seriously try it! There are some moms who also let their kids use this to cook their own food. They can choose what they want to eat, and have the all-important task of pressing the button! Don’t forget you can take this sucker on the road as a snack or as a meal!
When you have to make your mini-humans their own flavor of food, you can easily do that without having to clean another pot/pan.
I’m going to post some recipes I’ve tried, so get your creative juices flowing soon!
So consider giving the Itaki Pro Electric Lunch Box a try! Some people think I’m ridiculous at work for having an electric lunch box, but I don’t care. I didn’t spend $10 today, my food was hot, and made just how I like it.
The Itaki Pro electric lunch box makes an amazing gift for the admins and other people in your life who value easy, fresh, and hot meals when they want. I’ve already gifted one to a colleague of mine for Christmas!
